Every recession or financial crisis that the world goes through will always create a new generation of both millionaires and billionaires. Even if you only have a modest investment budget you might still be able to invest in property that has value but requires a bit of work before you can try to sell it on to somebody else. Most auctioneers keep these properties for themselves during the boom years but during a recession they usually have a surplus of these and are willing to let them go at almost any price.

Just make sure that whatever property you’re planning on investing in has been properly surveyed and checked by a professional plumber. Otherwise you could very easily wind up putting down new wooden floors or carpet and then having to dig them back up again when you realise there’s a problem with the plumbing underneath them. It’s much easier to correct, repair or replace problem plumbing in the early stages of renovation then having to undo all your hard work later on.
